Haryana Divyang Pension Scheme Objectives

Provide social security to disabled individuals who cannot sustain themselves financially and require government financial assistance.

Pension Rate History:

• Initially started at Rs. 50/- per month
• Increased to Rs. 300 per month on 1.11.1999

From 1.1.2006, the government raised the pension from:

• Rs. 600/- per month for 100% disabled individuals
• Rs. 500/- per month for 60% handicapped individuals
• Rs. 750/- per month for 100% disabled individuals

Eligibility for Haryana Divyang Pension Scheme

The eligibility criteria for Haryana Divyang Pension Scheme 2023 is mentioned below:

1. The person in question is at least 18 years of age
2. The individual is a domicile of Haryana and at the time of application submission, has been a resident of the state for the previous three years.
3. The individual’s self-generated income, derived from all sources, must not surpass the minimum wages specified by the Labour Department for unskilled labor.
4. The individual’s disability should fall within the rage of 60-100%. These might consist of:

• Leprosy Cured
• Low Vision
• Auditory Impairment
• Psychotic Retardation

Benefits of Haryana Divyang Pension Scheme

The following are the benefits of the Haryana Divyang Pension Scheme 2023:

• The pension rate was increased from Rs. 50/- per month at the start of the scheme to Rs. 300/- Per month as of 1.11.1999.
• With effect from 1.1.2006, the government increased the pension for 100% disabled people from Rs. 300 to Rs. 600 per month. Additionally, it increased the pension to Rs. 750 for 100% disabled people and Rs. 500 for 60% handicapped people.
• Pension rates were raised to Rs. 1000/-per month for all categories on January 1, 2014, and to Rs. 1200/- per month on January 1, 2015.
• According to the scheme, the Government has raised the rates to Rs. 1,400/- P.M. per beneficiary starting on 1-1-2016, Rs. 1600/- starting on 01-11-2016, Rs. 1800/- starting on 01-11-2017, Rs. 2000/- starting on 01-11-2018, Rs. 2250/- starting on 01.01.2020, and Rs. 2500/- starting on 01.04.2021.

1. Visit the Haryana Social Welfare Department’s Official Website.
2. Application Forms – On the homepage, click the “Application Forms” link in the “General Information” section.
3. Download the “Viklang Yojana” application form in PDF format.
4. Details and Submission – Fill out the application form with the necessary information and submit it to the Social Welfare Officer of the particular district together with the required papers.
5. The application process is now complete. Beneficiaries will get their pension amounts as soon as the verification process is completed.
