New Swarnima Scheme for Women: The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has recently introduced the Swarnima Scheme to uplift the women of India. This scheme was introduced to provide financial aid to women entrepreneurs of the poorer sections of society, in order to help them build a better future.

The National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) initiative, which is implemented by State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs), works to help women be more financially independent, and grants eligible candidates a loan of upto Rs. 2,00,000, at a 5% interest rate per annum.

Eligibility Criteria for Swarnima Scheme for Women

All candidates who wish to avail the Swarnima Scheme must check the eligibility criteria given below:

  • The beneficiary just be a woman candidate.
  • Women must be an employer or employed.
  • The annual total income of the applicant’s family should be 3 lakhs per annum or below 3 lakhs per annum.
  • The age of the beneficiary must be within 18 – 55 years old
  • The applicant must be a member of a backward class group which is notified by the state or central government from time to time to be eligible to get the loan amount under this scheme.
